DEMA leads the Danish response to nuclear emergencies abroad for protecting the population and environment.

DEMA is responsible for:

• National nuclear emergency planning
• Day to day nuclear emergency management
• Coordinating communication from the authorities to the public, should Danish territory be threatened by radioactive contamination.
